Suspects Lead Mt. Juliet Police On 2 Chases

At least two people may soon be facing charges after leading Mt. Juliet police on two separate chases.

The incident started at the Academy Sports and Outdoors store on North Mt. Juliet Road on Sunday.

Officers were investigating people possibly making a fraudulent purchase and using illegal drugs.

At least two suspects took off in a car, and then one jumped out of a car on Fescue Drive. It was believed that suspect was injured.

The car then continued on Interstate 40 West into Nashville after officers discontinued the pursuit.

Hours later, officers responded to a report of people looking through yards near Fescue Drive.

When they arrived, the suspects led police on another chase to Interstate 40 West and ended at Briley Parkway.

Authorities have not released the names of the people involved.
