Police said a man was lucky to be alive after his SUV went off an interstate overpass, rolled down an embankment, and landed on a different interstate below.
The wreck happened before 3 a.m. Saturday at the split for Interstate 65 and Interstate 40 in West Nashville.
Authorities said the driver was seriously injured, but he was expected to survive. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The interstate was shut down for several hours Saturday morning while they cleared the scene.
