A driver thought he was driving across an underwater bridge, but ended up in the Cumberland River instead.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Trice Landing Park in Clarksville.
After the SUV went off the pier, the driver had to walk a mile and a half to a gas station where someone called 911.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
