A teenager faced arson and other charges for starting multiple fires.
Four of the five fires happened between 9 p.m. and midnight Saturday on Old Salem and Mill Street. The first fire took place February 6 on Mill Street.
The fires ranged from a dumpster fire to an unoccupied home.
Eyewitnesses were able to point police in the right direction, and authorities took the 17-year-old into custody. His identity was not released.
The teen was charged with two counts of reckless burning and one count each of setting fire to personal property, arson, and aggravated arson. Officials said he was being held until a court appearance at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
