Teen Killed In Drive-By Shooting On Interstate 24

Police have identified a teenager who was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Interstate 24.

The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of the interstate near Briley Parkway.

Officials identified the victim as 18-year-old Liliana Rodriguez, of Madison.

Authorities said she was the backseat passenger in a Ford Mustang. The driver was identified as her brother, 20-year-old Rodrigo Rodriguez.

Shots were fired at the Mustang from a dark blue or black Infiniti G35 with a blue LED light bar over the license plate.

Officials said Liliana was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she passed away.

Reports stated her brother and two other passengers were not injured.

Authorities said Liliana, her brother, and the others in the Mustang had just left the La Mansion Hall Club in the 1300 block of Antioch Pike.

According to the victims, no altercations took place before the shooting.
