Thanksgiving Travel Week May Hit A Record

Posted

Millions of people have been coming home after traveling this Thanksgiving holiday.

On Monday, those at the Nashville International Airport said they expect 23,000 more people than usual.

It's shaping up to be the busiest Thanksgiving travel week on record.

Still, almost everyone at the airport Sunday said they didn't have much trouble beyond the regular travel worries.

"The wait in security was a little long leaving, and then my bag was over a couple pounds so I had to buy I really fancy Southwest tote bag to carry my extra weight, but other than that there was no issue," said Carter Johan, a Vanderbilt freshman.

Nashville International Airport was recently named one of the country's least busy airports.
