There's no need to be alarmed if you heard the explosions happening in downtown Nashville. It's all in a day's work for a Marine. Thousands of people packed into Riverfront Park to watch the demonstration.
Some visitors made it a family affair on Friday, even through the heat and humidity.

"It's hot but worth it because it's a lot of fun getting to get on all of the equipment," said Tabitha Smith.
Even some of the smallest spectators said events like this remind them why they want to help defend our country.
"I want to join the military because I want to help protect our freedom," said Ashlyn Slone.
But at 7 years old, she's a little too young to sign up to be a Marine, but she was able to check out some of the assault vehicles.
The demonstration called MAGTF for short, is a military operations simulation that showcases the assortment and power of the Marine Corps. Some of the most impressive equipment were the amphibious assault vehicles. They're vehicles that can transport Marines and cargo through hostile territory through water and onto land.
A lot of visitors used this a chance to say thanks.
"A lot of them come up to say thank you, and that's what we are here to do as well to say thanks back and give our support to the people," said Johnny Henderson, of the United States Marine Corps.

Though people were treated to a spectacular show, those with the United States Marine Corps stopped in Music City to say thanks to us all while keeping us safe. There will be one more demonstration Sunday at 10 a.m.
