An Uber driver was able to notify police after he came upon a shooting victim in South Nashville.
The victim was found shortly after midnight Friday at Fairfield Avenue and Fain Street.
The driver was in his car when he found a man on the ground who appeared to have been shot.
He stopped and called police.
The driver stayed at the scene to flag down police so they would know the location of the shooting victim.
Officers responded and found that the victim had been shot in the leg.
Investigators have little information at this time, but confirmed the victim's injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
He was awake and conscious at the scene.
Police said the victim is not cooperating with authorities. No suspect description was known.
