Sentencing for Brandon Vandenburg has been moved from July to September, following his conviction during the Vanderbilt rape retrial.
Vandenburg was scheduled to be sentenced on July 15, but that date has been moved to September 30.
It’s unclear at this time why the date was changed.
Cory Batey - also convicted in the case - was scheduled to be sentenced on July 15, as well.
Back in June, Vandenburg was found guilty of five counts of aggravated rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of unlawful photography.
In a separate retrial, Batey was found guilty on one count of aggravated rape, two counts of attempted aggravated rape, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of facilitation of aggravated rape.
Batey appeared in court Tuesday morning, where his attorney, Worrick Robison, filed a motion to withdraw from the case.
