Police have confirmed one person has died after drowning in a creek.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. Saturday at a creek between two homes in the 400 block of Neely’s Bend Road in Madison.
Officials said the victim was a 37-year-old man who lived in a home near the creek.
According to reports, he was found face down in the creek by his roommate who called police.
Authorities said they do not suspect foul play because there were no signs of trauma or a struggle.
Detectives were on scene to interview those in the area.
An autopsy has been set. The investigation remained ongoing.
