Victim Killed In Crash Suspected In Wife's Death

A fatal car crash in Montgomery County has been connected to a body found inside a Clarksville apartment.

Officials with the Clarksville Police Department identified a female victim whose body was found around 9:26 a.m. Wednesday as 18-year-old Katelyn Thomas.

Her body was found at an apartment in the 100 block of Stateline Road.

Officers said the woman had been assaulted inside the home, and they identified the suspect as her husband, 21-year-old Deashawn Thomas who was a soldier at Fort Campbell.

Authorities also confirmed Deashawn was the victim of the fatal crash on Interstate 24 East near miler marker 7 around 1:16 a.m. Wednesday before his wife's body was found.
