A man was shot in the arm during an attempted robbery while he was taking out the trash.
The shooting happened in the 1300 block of Ireland Street just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
According to the victim, he was taking the trash out in an alley when a man approached him and attempted to rob him.
The victim said he refused and tried to run from the scene, but as he was running, the suspect shot him in the arm.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as a man standing around 6’ tall. He was wearing all black and had a mask over his face.
