In just a couple months, we will experience a total solar eclipse. That's when the entire moon passes in front of the sun, between the sun and the earth, and excitement has been building.

On Sunday, West End Middle Prep held a pop-up sale on the corner of Fairfax and Marlborough Avenues.

They have been selling t-shirts and encouraging people to attend a viewing party they're hosting on August 21.

Metro Nashville Public Schools will be closed for the day. The festivities start at 11 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. and will include games, slides, food truck and of course special glasses to watch the eclipse.

They said it will be a party several centuries in the making. The last time a total solar eclipse was visible in Nashville was in 1478!
