A woman rescued from a deadly fire has passed away.
The fire at a home in Cookeville just after 11 p.m. Tuesday killed one man, identified as Ricky Owens, and left his wife, Martha, in critical condition after she was pulled from the home.
Monday, authorities confirmed Martha passed away around 4:15 p.m. Saturday from her injuries. Reports stated she had burns over 40% of her body.
The fire also injured five first responders.
A Cookeville police officer was seriously hurt, and several officers and firefighters were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
