A woman was injured in an early morning shooting at a motel near Nashville International Airport.
The incident was reported around 5 a.m. Wednesday at a Super 8 Motel in the 800 block of Murfreesboro Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a woman, identified as Stormy Meetze, claims two women knocked on her door and asked for marijuana.
Meetze said she walked outside with both of them to the back of the hotel and said she didn't have any.
An altercation apparently broke out and the two female suspects allegedly shot her in the shoulder before fleeing the scene.
She suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A person of interest was detained but later released. No arrests have been made at this time.
A child was also inside the room but wasn't hurt. It's unclear how he or she is related to the victim.
