A wreck in Rutherford County backed up traffic for multiple hours.
Authorities said the crash happened in the westbound lanes of State Route 840 after 7 a.m. Saturday at State Route 102 – Almaville Road.
Multiple vehicles were involved. Authorities had not released how many people were injured, but they confirmed Life Flight was brought in for transport to the hospital.
Both eastbound and westbound traffic was shut down for a while. The roadway opened several hours later once the scene was cleared.
