Fountain of Praise Church in Nashville held a prayer vigil in a response to last week's shootings of African Americans and police officers around the country.
The church invited Metro Police officers, community pastors and Nashville residents to the service.
"Our land needs healing, our families need healing, race relations need healing, we need a healing and God's the only one that can do that," said Rev. Oscar Myles Jr.
The vigil came just hours after Mayor Barry held a news conference to announce plans for a community meeting to find peaceful ways to deal with any racial injustice in our city.
