Computers are part of our day-to-day lives, and for kids, they can't imagine a world without them. Now, one teacher is taking that love of computers to the next level.
Bridget Cloud is a computer and information technology teacher at Northeast High School. She's also getting her Master's Degree at Austin Peay University.
The local teacher is offering free junior coding classes as part of her graduate teaching assistantship at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
Dr. James Church is her faculty sponsor. He says kids are getting on computers younger and younger, so why not get them coding. And while they are busy having fun they're walking away with problem-solving skills and the basics of computer programming.
The classes are open to students from kindergarten to fifth grade.
