The man accused of killing a man at a Nashville motel has surrendered to Metro Police officials.

Antonio M. Jackson, age 33, turned himself into police Tuesday night. Jackson was charged in the shooting death of 30-year-old Casey Lucas.

The incident happened Tuesday morning in a room at the Super 8 Motel on Bell Road.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Jackson held two people at gunpoint in one of the rooms. At some point, a third person entered, at which point a scuffle broke out and shots were fired.

An affidavit stated this was a dispute over a some type of business transaction.

Officers found Lucas dead in the room. He and Jackson were acquaintances. Two other people reportedly escaped.

Robbery was being considered as a potential motive. Another man in the motel room, 30-year-old Roger Reid reported that he was pistol whipped by Jackson.

Jackson was held in lieu of $80,000 bond.

A memorial fund has been set up for Lucas. Click here to donate.
