A man was arrested and accused of breaking into a Nashville home, eating food from the kitchen, and watching a woman while she slept.

The home invasion happened Wednesday, July 12 around 7:10 a.m. on Newell Avenue in Old Hickory.

According to officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department, Roger Sutton broke into the woman's home through an unlocked door.

At the time, she was the only person in the home in bed asleep.

First, Sutton allegedly ate some of her food including Cheez It's, Four Chewy Oat and Raisin Granola Bars and a Hostess Cake.

He then allegedly, quietly went into her bedroom for a short time before walking outside onto the back porch.

That's when a witness in the backyard saw the man on the porch. He spoke to Sutton, who told the witness somebody dropped him off.

The witness then told the woman to call police.

Neither the woman or witness knows Sutton. He was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary.
