LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man who was wanted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol was arrested Tuesday in La Vergne after barricading himself in a home.

According to La Vergne police officials, officers were called to a home on Constitution Avenue around 5 a.m. after reports that Terrence Starks, 31, was hiding out in the house's attic.

Starks was wanted by THP following a police pursuit lask week in Rutherford County.

Members of the SWAT team were called to the scene and were able to get inside the home

Starks was arrested without incident because of a family member, who communicated with him via text message.

Starks faces charges from THP. Further charges may be filed by the La Vergne Police Department.

While Starks was barricaded in the home, Constitution Avenue was shut down between Paul Revere Lane and Liberty Lane.
