TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WTVF) — U.S. Marshals and Franklin County Sheriff's deputies arrested 22-year-old Hugh “Adam” Keckritz, who was wanted in connection to a shooting at the Northgate Mall in Tullahoma.
Police officials say he shot a 20-year-old man in the stomach, after an argument near the arcade inside the mall on June 4. The victim was taken to a Chattanooga hospital in serious condition and is still there recovering.
The victim's family says the two men did not know each other.
U.S. Marshals tracked him to a home in Estill Springs Tuesday morning and took him by surprise at gunpoint. He surrendered without a fight.
Keckritz will be brought back to Coffee County where he faces a felony charge. Investigators say there could be more arrests if he was helped while on the run. While he was on the run, his mother reached out to NewsChannel 5's Nick Beres to share a message to her son.
