A Pickett County man has been arrested for stealing from the Disabled American Veterans Fund.

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested 65-year-old Glen Williams of Byrdstown Wednesday.

Williams was a former DAV commander. Investigators said Williams had been stealing from the Honor Guard financial account of the Hull-York chapter since December 2013.

The Pickett County Grand Jury returned an indictment Monday charging Williams with one count of Theft over $60,000.

Williams was arrested at his home Wednesday without incident. He was taken to the Pickett County Jail, where he was booked on a $100,000 bond.
