Information sought after man dies from being shot, pushed from moving car

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police say a man died after he was shot and then pushed from a moving car. Officers are still trying to identify the victim.

Officers responded to a shooting call at the corner of Gray Avenue and Old Hickory Boulevard late Thursday night.

A witness told police a dark gray car, possibly a Dodge Charger, was speeding in traffic in front of him, when he saw what he thought were muzzle flashes from inside the car. The vehicle slowed to a near stop, the passenger rear door opened and the victim was pushed out of the car into the road. The suspect vehicle then sped away.

The victim was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where he died.

The victim has not yet been identified, but police say he is a black man who appeared to be in his 30's.
