A man has died after an apparent robbery and shooting outside his Antioch home.

The incident was reported around 11 p.m. on December 4 on Sterry Court.

Metro Nashville Police said Jose Hernandez-Triana and his wife arrived at home after getting off work at Los Cantaritos Mexican Grill on Nolensville Pike.

His wife went inside while Hernandez-Triana was checking his truck when a white car went by, turned around, and then stopped in front of the house.

Police said a man described as being tall, thin and bald, got out of the car and said something to Hernandez-Triana.

He raised his hands and was shot in the abdomen. Police said the gunman fled without taking anything. His death has been classified as murder.

His family drove him to an area hospital. He was initially in stable condition before suffering medical complications. He succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

The gunman was believed to be in his 20s and wore a white shirt.
