COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was convicted of child rape for a second time in Maury County.
Thursday afternoon, a jury found Juan Abrego-Chavez guilty of rape of a child and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Abrego-Chavez faces a possible sentence of 25-64 years in prison. He is already serving a 30-year sentence for a previous child rape case in which he was convicted of nearly a year ago by another Maury County jury.
