NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested and is expected to be charged with driving under the influence after he nearly drove his car up a utility pole in Nashville.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the incident happened late Monday night on Grandview Drive.
The man appeared to have slammed into a parked car before striking the pole. The impact of the collision moved the other vehicle almost 50 feet from where it was parked.
No one was hurt in the crash.
After police arrived on the scene, the man was taken into custody. His identity was not immediately known.
He was in the process of being booked.
