Metro Nashville police investigated a violent robbery early Tuesday morning in Nashville.
Investigators said a man was returning to his home on Thompson Place early Tuesday morning, when a man approached him. The man pistol-whipped him, then robbed him of his phone and wallet.
The victim was taken to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries. The man suffered head injuries.
Police are working to get a description of the suspect.
