Police believe a shooting that killed a man inside a Brentwood home was not a random incident.

The incident was reported at a home on Dozier Court at about 11 p.m. Monday.

The home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, which was blocked off with crime scene tape early into Tuesday morning.

According to police, people called dispatchers reporting they heard multiple shots. Officers said the gunshots were fired into the residence from a vehicle.

Clark R. Cable, 25, was found inside the home with one gunshot wound. He died from his injuries.

Police said they believe one of the residents was targeted by the shooter. No arrests have been made in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Brentwood Police Department at 615-371-0160, email bpdtips@brentwoodtn.gov or call Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.

This incident is the most recent in a string of shootings that have happened in the area. NewsChannel 5’s Seena Sleem spoke with a neighbor who says he will certainly be more alert now.

He has lived in the area for more than 20 years and says these recent string of attacks have him on high alert.

"I know police are on top of it, but I will be more observant and keep a good watch in the neighborhood," he said.

Just two weeks ago, two people were killed and one other was injured in a shooting and stabbing at a home in the Governors Club subdivision in Brentwood.

Two days before that domestic incident, Brentwood police were searching for a masked gunman who shot a clerk at a  Mapco convenience store.
