NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was shot in Nashville after fighting off two alleged robbers.
The incident was reported Wednesday along Wedgewood Avenue.
According to an affidavit, two suspects drove up to the area and tried to rob two men at gunpoint, demanding their personal belongings.
At some point, a struggle broke out between one of the victims and the suspects. Police said both suspects fired, striking the victim in the lower abdomen.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and underwent surgery.
The other victim, who was not injured, was able to identify one of the suspects. That person was arrested and charged with especially aggravated robbery.
None of the their identities were available.
