Metro Nashville Police officers have arrested one of the men suspected of assaulting an officer during a fight at the James Cayce housing development.
Police said cell phone video showed Michael Cortez Mays kick Officer Matthew Cammarn while he was on the ground in the housing development Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old turned himself in Thursday afternoon. He was charged with aggravated assault against a police officer.
He is not a resident of the James Cayce Homes, and multiple previous arrests on charges including felony drug and weapon possession, aggravated burglary, and domestic assault.
