Man Wanted In South Nashville Murder Brought Back From Missouri

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An accused killer has been returned to Nashville from Missouri.

Metro police said 19-year-old Demarcus Gonner was in custody on charges of first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery. He was transferred to Nashville from Sikeston, Missouri, where he was arrested August 3.

Authorities said Gonner fled after the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Muslah Al-Nimar during a marijuana-related robbery outside a Haywood Lane gas station August 2.

Both 19-year-old Oscar Lara and 18-year-old Tiffany Mayfield were also charged with murder and aggravated robbery in the case

According to officials, Mayfield was allegedly present during the shooting and drove Gonner and Lara away from the scene.
