Market Raided; Items Seized

Posted

Police raided the First Stop Market on Old Hickory Boulevard and seized its merchandise, saying its owner bought stolen goods.

Officers said workers were buying stolen merchandise at a reduced price and then re-selling it.

All of the cigarettes, a couple dozen cases of beer and energy drinks, as well as money and weapons were seized.

Authorities said the store's owner 50-year-old Ashraf Ibrahem purchased items he knew were stolen from undercover officers.

He faced charges, but officials wouldn’t know what the exact charges would be until the dollar amount on the seized items was finalized.
