The Nashvillemade initiative is focused on supporting and growing Nashville's manufacturing sector will connect the city's wide-ranging manufacturing community by offering different programs that will train Nashvillians for good jobs, strengthen local manufacturers and makers and promote locally-made product locally.
Manufacturing is a driver of this city's economy as it offers jobs to over 20,000 people in the city. Therefore, this initiative has many of those who work in this industry feeling hopeful.
“Nashville is home to a vibrant and innovative manufacturing sector. However, we are at risk of losing this critical industry due to a number of challenges,” said Patrick Hayes of 1767 Designs. “I’m grateful Mayor Briley cares about local manufacturing companies and the jobs they create."
