NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A sneak peek was allowed Thursday at one of Music City's newest parks!
It’s a part of the new Complete Street initiative on 11th Avenue in the Gulch.
The mini-park has been set to feature fitness stations, green space, and a multi-use path with bike lanes.
The park was scheduled to officially open this weekend during the Open Streets Nashville event.
Although it's the first of its kind here in Music City, it's not a new concept.
"There are more than 90 Open Streets initiatives in the United States and Canada, and I'm pleased that Nashville is joining in on that successful execution of an international concept," said Mayor Karl Dean.
Everyone has been invited to the free event, which would feature free bike rentals, mini CrossFit classes, puppet shows, and other family-friendly activities. It was all set to start at 11 a.m. Saturday.
