FRANKLIN, Tenn. - In Williamson County, the mayor has said the county commission needs to take a closer look at their seal.

That's because one of the seal's four quadrants has displayed a confederate flag draped over a cannon.

Mayor Rogers Anderson said the presence of the flag should be re-evaluated.

“To some people it would be a larger item than others, but I think it's the right thing to do in light of the situations that occurred in the last few days,” Mayor Anderson said.

The seal was adopted in the 1960’s and has showcased agriculture, the judicial system, religion, and history.
