NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville mayoral candidate John Ray Clemmons heard from Metro teachers and advocates during his "Worth Every Penny: Investing in Teachers & Students" listening session.

Clemmons says funding our public schools and fully supporting teachers is one of his top priorities.

The state representative and mayoral candidate took that message to a listening session in Buena Vista this evening.

Clemmons hosted a panel of educators and advocates, who spoke about the need for teachers and other school faculty across Metro.

Clemmons will take on John Cooper, Carol Swain, and incumbent David Briley in the Mayoral election in August.
