Just hours after he entered the world, Mezziah Randle settled into a gold helmet with blue goalie gloves on either side.
The little boy was one of two babies to be photographed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center decked out in Predators gear just one day after the team lost game three to the Colorado Avalanche.
The Predators would come back to win the series and advance to round two.
"The photos are special to me because my parents had one of their first dates ever at a Preds game," said Shonka'an Randle, Mezziah's mom. "My dad was excited and my mom didn't want to go. It ended up my dad fell asleep and my mom stayed awake and when the game was over she thought it was just half time."
As the team prepared to take on the Winnipeg Jets in Game 4, Mezziah napped at home in a Preds onesie with a mini hockey stick in reach.
"People keep asking if he's going to be a hockey player," Randle said. "I guess we'll see."
Mezziah's family will cheer on the Preds Thursday night from home.
