NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Students at Meharry Medical College found out where they'll be spending the next three years.
Those students got their residency assignments today at "Match Day."
Graduating medical students all submit their top three residency choices to a national matching program. Today, students nationwide got their matches at their own Match Day events!
At Meharry, it's all about highlighting the success students achieve in the face of adversity.
Meharry Graduate Katherine Moore told NewsChannel 5, "It means everything,I'm excited!"
Meharry Medical College is a leading producer of African American doctors.
Nearly 40 percent of its graduates go on to work in undeserved communities.
