Memphis Police Department's ‘Lives Matter' Photo Goes Viral

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A photo posted to social media by the Memphis Police Department has gone viral, after the fatal shooting of Officer Sean Bolton.

According to WREG, the photo has been liked more than 19,000 times since it was posted Tuesday.

 

The picture shows a black female police officer standing with a black male and white female. In it, the officer has “Their Lives Matter” written on her hand.

Beside her, the young man and woman have “Her Life Matters” written on their hands, along with arrows pointing to the officer.

The social media post comes only days after Officer Sean Bolton was laid to rest. Police said Bolton was shot and killed after interrupting a drug deal.

Tremaine Wilbourn has been charged with first-degree murder in the case.
