NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Metro Nashville Police officer has tested positive for COVID-19.
Department officials said they were notified on Saturday of the Midtown Hills Precinct officer's positive test result. They say the officer reported he was not feeling well last Tuesday and did not come to work.
The officer experienced mild, manageable symptoms and is recovering well at home. Officials say he is feeling much better.
Since the confirmed case, the Midtown Hills Precinct facility was disinfected and cleaned along with two police cars which the officer had driven. His officer’s co-workers were notified of the positive test, but none has reported any symptoms.
