Metro Nashville To Open Overflow Warming Shelter

Temps Remain Dangerously Cold

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - City officials announced they would be opening an overflow warming shelter on New Years Day.

The shelter at East Park Community Center, 700 Woodland Street, will open Monday at 6 p.m. and close Tuesday at 8 a.m.

The Rescue Mission and Room in the Inn will operate under extended capacity.

Monday was one of many recent days in which Nashville saw extremely cold and dangerous temperatures.
