A Metro Nashville Police Officer was decommissioned after using a Black Panthers picture for his profile picture on Facebook.
Officer Chris Taylor was decommissioned on Sunday after the department received a complaint about the post on Friday.
Officer Taylor has acknowledged the photo was on his personal Facebook page, saying that the photo is associated with his strong historical interests.
He said he regularly changes photos on his personal page. Officer Taylor said he also posts bits of historical information, especially during Black History Month.
The Office of Professional Accountability was conducting the full investigation of the complaint.
