NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Police Officer Andrew Delke has appealed a judge’s decision to have the case tried by a local jury.

Delke was accused of chasing, shooting and killing Daniel Hambrick following an attempted traffic stop.

Judge Monte Watkins recently denied Delke's change of venue request . The decommissioned officer's attorneys argued he couldn't get a fair trial in Nashville.

But the judge denied their request to move the trial, ensuring that it will be tried in front of a Davidson County jury.
