NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Police Officer Andrew Delke has appealed a judge’s decision to have the case tried by a local jury.

Delke was accused of chasing, shooting and killing Daniel Hambrick following an attempted traffic stop.

Judge Monte Watkins recently denied Delke's change of venue request. The decommissioned officer's attorneys argued he couldn't get a fair trial in Nashville.

But the judge denied their request to move the trial, ensuring that it will be tried in front of a Davidson County jury.
