A Metro Nashville Police officer was decommissioned and assigned to desk duty after being arrested for DUI in Hendersonville.
West Precinct Officer 40-year-old Mark Hatt was arrested Monday then subsequently decommissioned.
Officials said a Sumner County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped Hatt for speeding on Center Point Road and saw that he showed clues of impairment.
Hatt took a blood alcohol test, the result of which was pending. He was scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court in December.
Hatt is a 7-year MNPD veteran.
