The officer who was hit during a six-hour long standoff in Nashville spoke about those terrifying moments during a press conference.

For Metro Officer Gerry Hutcheson, last week's "shots fired" call quickly became dangerous. It happened at the Sudekum neighborhood involving ex-convict, Justin Jones.

Police said he was holed up inside an apartment after shooting at the ground near his young daughter when the shots rang out.

Hutcheson was hit by gunfire. Miraculously, the bullet didn't penetrate his vest, rather it lodged in his jacket.
