A Metro Nashville Police officer saved a suicidal person on the edge of a balcony in Hillsboro Village.
According to Metro Police officials, Sgt. Will Amundson responded to the call of a possible suicidal man on the 18th floor of an Acklen Avenue high-rise Monday evening.
A 68-year-old man was distraught and contemplating jumping from a balcony.
Sgt. Amundson talked to the man for 15 minutes, ultimately convincing him to step back to safety.
