The search for 2-year-old Noah Chamberlin in Chester County entered its fifth day as volunteers from the mid state stepped in to help.

Those with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they have been assisting the Chester County Sheriff’s Office to find the boy who went missing January 14 while hiking with his grandmother.

“He was on a trail when he went missing,” said Blair Weaver, Sheriff of Chester County. “We have searched all around those trails. I wouldn’t be afraid to say there’s hundreds of miles of trails.”

Chamberlin was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. Authorities said he was reported missing around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after he was last seen going into the woods behind his home on Short Road in Pinson.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said the child, his grandmother, and his 4-year-old sister went on a nature walk. They took a break and sat on a wood log. The grandmother said she turned to talk to the little girl, but when she turned around, moments later, he was gone.

“I have a two year old. If that was me I would want everybody available to help look for that kid,” said Mt. Juliet resident Jeremy Koonce, who spent Saturday night searching through the dark woods around the boys home.

Crews and friends have been searching around the clock, and officials said they had no plans to stop until they found him.

More than 300 volunteers showed up over the weekend to aid in the search but no sign of the boy was found.
