NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two weeks after announcing it was ceasing operations, Mill Creek Brewing Company is back in business.
Founder and CEO Chris Going said a new business partner approached the brewery, allowing them to resume work.
The company's full-time employees returned on Friday by jumping back into brewing and getting ready for future shipments to the company's wholesale partners.
Mill Creek's taproom in Nolensville will open back up in the coming weeks, but the date has not yet been announced.
Going said the company will restructure going forward to get Mill Creek on a better financial path.
Earlier in the month, Going said the company had plans to file for bankruptcy protecting, adding the company could not meet many of its financial obligations and was without the funds to dig itself out of the hole.
“We are thrilled to have a new partner who sees the value in the Mill Creek brand, our presence in the marketplace, and wants to keep building," Going said. "Personally, I’m extremely grateful that we could bring our staff back and we’ll be able to continue the work we started. Our team is like a family and I’m full of joy that this story has another chapter as we work together building a community of loyal beer drinkers with a Less Fuss, More Beer attitude for years to come."
