NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — In the middle of the destruction that broke out in downtown Nashville Saturday night, a touching moment was caught on camera. A Metro Nashville Police officer embraced and prayed with a demonstrator.
Officer Garren Hoskins listened to the protester, who was preaching, while lined up with fellow officers outside the Central Police Precinct. The two men started talking and their conversation about their faith turned into something more.
"I just asked him, I said, would you like to pray? And he puts his sign down and looks at me and says absolutely," said Hoskins.
Hoskins says he didn’t catch the man’s name, but would love to meet him again, grab a cup of coffee, and have another conversation.
